Karine Joly is the President of Your Webmaster, Inc. She founded this company in 2002 to help businesses, agencies, institutions and consultants with all their marketing and communication needs on the Web. Karine works with a team of professionals including programmers, web designers, project managers, business analysts and translators in French, Spanish, German, etc.
"The Web is a powerful yet cost-effective tool to market a business, develop a brand image and communicate with prospective or current clients. Used as a hub for all the other communication channels such as newspaper/magazine ads, sales brochures or even press releases, a Website is the best marketing investment a business can make today," she explains.
Karine has more than 10 years of professional experience in traditional and online marketing, communication and journalism in the US, Canada and France.
She is the blogger behind the influential niche-blog about higher education marketing, PR and Web technologies: collegewebeditor.com, launched in February 2005 and targeted to professionals and executives in universities and colleges in the US and Canada. Ms. Joly has also been writing a regular column about Internet Technologies for University Business since February 2006.
Her expertise includes marketing and communication strategy, web design, content development, website management, web application programming, search engine optimization, market research and training.
In 2000, while working in New York for one of the Top 10 American Webportals, About.com, Karine developed a 100-page news website and published 2 weekly email newsletters reaching more than 8,000 subscribers. As an online editor, she managed forty American and Canadian webmasters. Since 2002, she has also developed and managed the Web operations of several businesses and a college.
Before going online, Karine worked as a journalist for several radio stations, magazines and daily newspapers.
She has a Master's in Communications from La Sorbonne in Paris, France as well as a Webmaster Certificate from Rutgers University, New Jersey.
